The 34th season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Franchise will sport a new Head Coach, Raheem Morris, who was hired after Jon Gruden was dismissed in mid January 2009. Morris had been recently named to replace Monte Kiffin as the Defensive Coordinator and was pushed up the ladder by the franchise.
In the off-season, the team went after and signed former NY Giants RB Derrick Ward to a long term deal and then inked QB Byron Leftwich to a 2-year contract. In the draft, the franchise chose Kansas State QB Josh Freeman with the 17th overall pick in the draft. The team then pulled off a trade bringing TE Kellen Winslow II from Cleveland to Tamp for a 2010 5th round draft pick.
